Products

How does Altralife work?

Altralife is formulated to provide energy, protein, vitamins, and minerals for total diet replacement for weight management.

The recommended dosage is 4 servings per day (each 52g serving to be mixed with 200-300ml water). These 4 servings can be taken at any time in the day, and this is down to personal preference.

We would suggest trying our starter pack before purchasing any full plans so that you can try all the flavours we offer and ensure you enjoy the shakes/soups. The AltralifeStarter Pack can be purchased by clicking here.

If after trying the starter pack you would like to try one of our plans, you can choose from a 4 or 8 week programme, or build your own length plan using our single 1 week pouches.

Please note that Altralife must be used under medical supervision if using as a total diet replacement for longer than 3 weeks.

What is the Altralife Starter Pack?

The Altralife Starter Pack allows you to try a sachet of each variety of shake and soup, plus a bar, so you can make a decision on your preferred flavour before you begin your programme.

Try each flavour at your leisure and decide on which flavours you would like to select to use during your plan.

Your starter pack also includes your Altralife shaker - please note that Altralife shakers are not included in any programmes, so make sure you order your starter pack to receive your shaker.

Once you have chosen your favourite flavours, visit our website to order your plan!

What product do I need?

If you have been referred by a dietitian or healthcare provider, please refer back to the email you received from them and this should detail the plan you are on and which link you need to follow to order the correct products.

Our products must be used under medical supervision if using as a total diet replacement for longer than 3 weeks.

How many Altralife meals do I have per day?

The recommended dosage is 4 Altralife meal replacements per day.

For specific NHS programme questions, please go directly to your healthcare provider.

Does the 4 or 8 week programme come in small sachets?

No, only the starter pack comes in small sachets, your 4 or 8 week programme will contain 4 or 8 larger pouches. Each 1.5kg pouch contains 28 meal replacements and includes a scoop to measure out each serving.

Can I purchase a single pouch?

Yes, single pouches can be purchased here.

What can I drink on this plan?

Your drinks must be calorie free, which means no sugar containing drinks, no milk in tea or coffee and no alcohol.

For specific NHS programme questions, please go directly to your healthcare provider.

How do I mix the shakes and soups?

For shakes, add 200ml of water to the shaker with your Altralife instant shake mix and the mixing ball. Replace the lid and shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds. For a better-tasting shake, use a blender, such as a NutriBullet, with a couple of ice cubes.

For soups add 50ml of hot water and your Altralife instant soup mix. Mix into a smooth paste with a fork or whisk. Top up 50-250ml (depending on how thick you want the soup) of hot water and continue to mix. Caution: do not use hot liquid with the shaker.

How much liquid do I need to add?

You will need 200ml of water for the shakes and soups. Please note, for the soups you will need hot water.

Is the scoop included?

Yes, the scoop is included in your pouch. Sometimes it does fall to the bottom of the pouch, so please have a thorough look in your pouch to find it. If you are unable to find your scoop, please contact us at support@altralife.co.uk

How big is the scoop?

The scoop measures out 26g of product. Please use 2 scoops of product per serving.

2 x 26g scoops = 1 x 52g serving = 1 serving

Please use the scoop that is provided within each pouch, as this is the correct measurement.

How do I fill the scoop?

Shake pouch before filling scoop.

Scoop powder from the top of pouch and shake off any excess powder from scoop.

DO NOT PACK SCOOP. USE LEVEL SCOOPS ONLY.

Each 52g serving of Altralife instant powdered shake or soup mix should be reconstituted with 200ml water.

How do I get a shaker?

A free shaker is included in your starter pack. You can purchase additional shakers on our website, please visit this page.

What is the metal ball inside the shaker?

It is mixer ball that helps to combine the powder to the liquid to make sure your shakes are mixed perfectly.

Is the shaker dishwasher safe?

Our shakers are dishwasher safe, however we recommend hand washing your shaker to ensure it stays in good condition.

Is Altralife Kosher?

No, we do not currently have a Kosher certification for our product just yet. Altralife does not contain any ingredients that are forbidden in the Kosher diet, however, the manufacturing process is not observed by a relevant religious body and is not Kosher certified.

Altralife does not contain any nuts or nut derivatives and our manufacturer states that no nuts are present in the manufacturing or plant facility.

Payment & Subscriptions

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, and also Klarna for anyone who wants to split their payments into chunks.

Where is my refund?

We aim to process refunds within five days of an item being returned to us. Please note, however, that your bank may take several days to process the payment back into your account. With that said, please allow up to ten working days after posting the item back to us before getting in touch about your refund. We’ll contact you by email to let you know when your refund has been processed.

How do subscriptions work?

Subscriptions are automatically renewed according to your selected delivery interval and the products will be automatically delivered by Altralife after each successful renewal.
For example, if you started a monthly subscription, then the system will automatically charge your credit card each month and you will get the products to your doorstep each month, without the need to place the order by yourself!

Can I pause or cancel a subscription?

Yes, of course. You can pause or cancel a subscription any time you want in the account section here:

Manage Subscription

The only time when the subscription can't be cancelled is if you started a subscription which requires a certain number of payments before you can cancel it. The customer portal can be accessed through the magic link you received in the email that was sent to you when you placed an initial subscription order in the shop. You can also access your subscriptions if you create an account in your shop.

How can I skip or reschedule a charge?

You can skip or reschedule the charge in the customer portal. Each scheduled delivery will have a Skip payment button next to it, which you can use to skip the charge. You can reschedule the charge by clicking on the Reschedule button next to the delivery date.

Can I add products to my subscription?

Of course. You can add products to your subscription in the customer portal. Just click on the Edit button in the products card and edit, remove or add products to your subscription.

What happens if the payment can't be processed?

If the subscription can't be renewed because a payment can't be processed you will receive an email with a link where you can safely update your payment method.

Ordering and delivery

Can I place an order without creating an account?

Yes. You can place an order as a guest with no obligation to create an account. We do recommend that you create an account, however, if you’d like to check your order history and have your shopping basket items and payment details saved for next time. It’s quick and easy to create an account. 

Where is my order confirmation?

This is automatically sent to your email address when you place an order. If you haven’t received your order confirmation within 24 hours, please get in touch at support@altralife.co.uk just in case there’s a problem with your order. Please check your mailbox’s spam or junk folder before contacting in case the order confirmation has been diverted there.

How do I cancel my order?

There is only a short amount of time between when you place your order and when we start processing it. If you contact us straight away after ordering, via support@altralife.co.uk, we may be able to cancel your order before it’s processed. If not, we’ll despatch your order and then you can return it to us if you wish upon receiving it.

Can I alter my order?

There is normally a very short amount of time between you placing an order and us processing it, so if you do need to alter your order, please get in touch ASAP once the order has been confirmed.

When will my order arrive?

We aim for all orders to be received within 2 working days from the order being placed.
Please get in touch if your order hasn’t been delivered according to the expected timescales, and we will check your order status.

What countries do you ship to?

Altralife currently only delivers within the United Kingdom.

Can I track my order?

Yes. We’ll provide updates at every stage of your order, from the moment you place it, through to despatch and delivery. In your delivery confirmation emails, you’ll receive a tracking reference which you can use to check the progress of your order online.

My discount code isn’t working?

Please check that you have the correct items in your basket for the programme you are completing. If you have been referred by your healthcare provider they should have emailed you a link to the correct product.

If you are still having issues, please contact customer support via support@altralife.co.uk stating the product, your discount code, delivery address, contact phone number and someone will get back to you. 

Can I order over the phone?

For security and data protection reasons we are unable to process any payments over the phone. Our website is the safest and most secure way to purchase Altralife products. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Returns

Can I return or exchange an item?

You have 14 days, beginning the day after you receive your order, to initiate any returns or refunds. Please note that only unopened product is eligible to be returned for an exchange or refund. Please contact support@altralife.co.uk to return your order.

The wrong flavour was delivered, what do I do?

Please contact us at support@altralife.co.uk with your order number, contact details and a brief explanation of what was delivered.

I received my delivery but the products are damaged, what do I do?

We are sorry for any products that arrive damaged! In the unlikely event that this happens, please email us a photo of your damaged products, include your contact details and order number to support@altralife.co.uk and we will be happy to help.

Can I swap a flavour if I don’t like it?

We recommend that you always try all the flavours in the starter pack before starting your programme, so that you can pick your favourites.

Please note that only unopened products are eligible for exchange or return. In the event that you have ordered a product and you’ve changed your mind, we will arrange for an alternative item of equal value to be sent to you as long as the product remains unopened. You will be asked to pay the postage fee for the alternative product. Please note, this must fall under the 14 day return period policy and be eligible for a return, more details can be found here.
